Ranch Dressing

Inspiration:
An increasing dislike for bottled salad dressings and this recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes:
Perfect flavor!
It's a little thick for salad dressing, so you may want to thin it out with some buttermilk.

I'm with you on the bottled ranch dressing (actually most bottled dressing really!). This looks like a wonderful recipe I'll need to try soon. Thanks for sharing and for the tip to thin out!

I absolutely love ranch but really dislike the bottled stuff. I should give this a try, it looks fantastic.

Just made this! It is wonderful. I think I will just always keep some in the fridge. When I need to use it for salad greens, just whisk a little milk into it. Fabulous! Thanks.
