Prepare your favorite recipe for peanut butter cookie dough. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, flatten, and make an indentation so the cookie is a peanut shape. Use red M&Ms or red hots for the nose, chocolate chips for the eyes, and mini pretzels for the antlers. Do this BEFORE baking. (We found out the hard way, haha). Bake as instructed in your peanut butter cookie recipe. These need to cool a very long time so that the chocolate eyes harden.
How cute are they? I hope these are a hit at the cookie swap I am attending.

These are SO cute!
PRECIOUS!! :-)
Seriously, these are the cutest reindeer cookies ever!
I love these! Did you use the Joy of Cooking peanut butter cookie recipe? I don't have a favorite recipe and I'd love to make these for a holiday party I'm going to.
pokeybear
I actually just used a PB cookie recipe from allrecipes.com
I think the Joy of Cooking recipe may have been a bit to crispy for this recipe, although it probably would have worked!
Those are cute. I'll have to remember them for when Carter's old enough to: 1. notice such things, and 2. eat solid foods. ;)
How cute are those!
how adorable!

Wow, how adorable! Your blog is one of my favorites, by the way.

Thank you so much--I made these for a cookie exchange I am going to tomorrow and they are ADORABLE. I giggled the whole time I made them. Also, I used a PB cookie recipe from the King Arthur Flour website & it worked well.
Oh my gosh these are so cute! What a great idea!
